Most countries around the world are currently experiencing supply chain breakdowns. Store shelves lay bare as they cannot be restocked. This is of course partly due to COVID lockdown policies. But even after most countries lifted the restrictions last summer, the supply chain issue has not been fully resolved. This year, the global supply chain has added another element of uncertainty. A number of exporting countries have enacted export bans, and restrictions, on food and energy. The Chinese Communist Party's insistence, on its “zero COVID” policy, has also increased the vulnerability of global supply chains, as too many businesses depend on Chinese manufacturing. Lets see what we will be facing in the near future.
