Secret Service: Chinese Hacker Group Stole $20 Million

Chinese hackers stole $20 million in COVID-19 benefits, according to Washington's Secret Service. The stolen relief benefits include loans for small businesses, as well as unemployment insurance funds in more than a dozen states. It reportedly began in 2020, involving over 40,000 financial transactions. The Secret Service says it's recovered about half the money.
