Transgender Athletes in Elite Women’s Sports

The culture secretary held a meeting with British sports organizations, to urge them to follow the transgender policy adopted by FINA—swimming’s international governing body. Nadine Dorries is expecting other sporting bodies to follow Fina's footsteps by barring transgender athletes from competing in elite women’s races if they’ve gone through male puberty. It comes as a raft of sports leaders review their transgender rules.
