PM Boris Johnson Faces Confidence Vote; Thousands of Holidaymakers Stranded Overseas

Boris Johnson faced a vote of no confidence to determine if he should remain prime minister. The vote was triggered after the threshold of 54 letters of no confidence from Tory MPs was reached. At least 15,000 holidaymakers are stranded overseas after the cancellation of flights to the UK. Passengers with EasyJet, British Airways, Tui Airways, and Wizz Air have seen their plans to return home disrupted. The UK is to send its first long-range missiles to Ukraine after Russia struck the outskirts of Kyiv for the first time since April. Moscow warns it will push Ukrainian forces back to protect itself from the West's long-range weapons.
