The Biden administration's "Ministry of Truth" farce came to a short-lived end. Historically, Americans have never had the concept of "disinformation," only freedom of speech. But in recent years the terms "false information" or "disinformation" have become more and more common in mainstream media. There are also organizations that specialize in "fact checking," not to check the basic facts of a story, but to see which writer's opinion does not fit into mainstream thinking.
